Kentucky Spotted Bass
The Spotted Bass is often mistaken for their very similar cousin, the Largemouth Bass. The Spotted Bass prefers cool and warm mountain streams and reservoirs with rocky bottoms.
Striped Bass
Striped Bass have silver sides with 7 or 8 horizontal black stripes that run from the gills to the tail. Also known as Stripers, Striped Bass are found in both freshwater and salt water.
White Crappie
The White Crappie is a small game fish that is mainly silver in coloring with lighter black striping than the Black Crappie. The White Crappie is found throughout the United States and is most active at dawn and dusk.

Darker in coloring than its cousin the White Crappie, the Black Crappie is also a popular small game fish found throughout the United States. The Black Crappie typically likes clearer water than the White Crappie and is perfect for shore fishing.
Catfish
The Catfish is named for several “cat-like” barbels that protrude from the mouth area. These sensitive barbels contain taste buds to help the catfish to find their food. They also have stingers on each pectoral fin and the dorsal fin. Catfish typically prefer to live and feed near the bottoms of lakes and streams.
Muskie
A relative of the Northern Pike, the Muskie is a long, slender fish that is famously difficult to catch. The Muskie lurks in weeds and near rock outcroppings waiting to strike hard and quick.
Northern Pike
Northern Pike are a popular sport fish because of their large size and their tendency to strike hard and jump out of the water. Northern Pike are commonly found in the Midwest and Northeast United States and are characterized by long slender bodies with light green and olive green markings.
Walleye
Walleyes have great eyesight in less than perfect conditions, which makes fishing for them at night, with overcast skies, and on windy days, ideal. Walleye are said to be the tastiest freshwater fish, which makes them very popular among anglers.

Lake trout are found in the cold, deep waters of larger lakes and are known for their strong underwater fight. Because of their preference for cold water, Lake Trout are found almost exclusively in the far northern United States and Canada.
